From game technology to workplace safety
Danu Abeysuriya founded RUSH Digital in 2007. It began in game technology, but the goal was always bigger: to solve real problems that change how people use technology every day.
That same conviction led to R/VISION. In 2018, as computing power finally caught up with the ambition, the team saw a chance to apply advanced computer vision to one of the most stubborn problems in industry: keeping people safe at work.
The insight was simple. Most workplaces already have cameras. What they lack is a way to turn that footage into real-time understanding, closing the gap between work as imagined and work as done before it leads to harm.
Why computer vision changes everything for workplace safety and beyond
For decades, safety has run on lag indicators: near-miss reports and incident investigations that only tell you what went wrong after it already has. They are reactive by nature.
R/VISION was built to change that. By analysing camera feeds 24/7, the platform creates lead indicators, giving you objective data on how work is actually being done. It can measure the distance between people and moving plant, flag exclusion zone breaches, check PPE use, map high-risk movement paths, and even detect ergonomic risks. The result is a shift from investigating harm to preventing it.
